Hi my name is Lan and I live in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I grew up here and have always resided in Belfast. For long enough I was a Maths teacher until recently and took a career change into computer programming.
I now work as a software programmer and web developer. Although the work is tough, it is very enjoyable, challenging and rewarding.

| Camera Info | |
| Canon EOS M | The EOS M was the first "proper" camera that I purchased. It sparked my enthusiam in photography and haven't looked back since. 22mm pancake lens and the EOS M is a perfect combination and incredible for night photography. |
| Canon G9X | I bought this camera just after summer 2016, it's a compact camera but can be fully manual or a point and click. I got this to replace my EOS M but have held on to the EOS M even though this is perfect for something light to just carry around in your pocket. I would highly recommend this for any level of photographer. |
| Canon EOS 7D | The 7D is my "big" cammera, I don't have much to say about it apart from it being sturdy, good battery life and has survived through the night in frost and caught in very heavy showers and yet never an issue apart from a dirty sensor which is easily cleaned with the right tools. |
| Ricoh Theta SC | My latest project has begun with this camera, I am amazed at the outcome of the videos and pictures this camera can produce. Combined with Google Cardboard you can delve into any of my pictures and be there again looking around. I'm looking forward to the quality of the vr improving over the years but I can see this being something big in the future. Reliving special moments with your friends ds and family and seeing those special places that you have always wanted to go back to. |
| Lenses | My go to lens which is always attached to the 7D is a Canon EF-S 18-135mm STM Lens, it covers a nice range for most things that I am after. In my bag I carry a Canon EF 100-400mm, this zooms in to a field of view about half the length of your thumb at arms length, I love sitting on the top of a hill on a clear day looking around with this. The other main lens I carry around with me is a Canon EF-S 10-18mm Lens perfect for wide angle shots but I don't use it too often. with these three lenses I cover the full range from 10 to 400mm so I'm basically covered for everything I need. |
